Before Marking: Setup

Before we begin marking, we must first have something to mark. In this example, we have two Java projects loaded into the Eclipse workspace: Assignment1.A and Assignment1.B. They represent an assignment (Assignment 1) for a course, as handed in by two different students (A and B). You can use any projects that you like, so long as they contain files that can be edited within the Gild Editor. The projects that are used in this example can be loaded from here:

They can be loaded into your workspace using the Gild Import Archived Project functionality (available from the "File > Import > Import Gild Archived Project" in the main menu, or by using "Import > Archived Project" in the Gild Resource View context menu). Here, we can see the projects openned up in our workspace:

We are also going to need the Gild Marker View to be open on the workbench. If you have the Gild Perspective loaded, you can show the Gild Marker View by selecting "Window > Show View > Marker View" in the main menu. Otherwise, you can select "Window > Show View > Other > Gild Views > Marker View".
