Terminology

The process of marking requires that you be able to manage a relatively large amount of information, and handle a relatively large number of actions. So, some terminology has been developed to help you understand the marking process as it is handled using the Gild Marker View. Before we continue, there are a couple of basic definitions that must be presented:

• Marker: the user of the Gild Marker View. This term is not to be confused with the markers used by Eclipse to attach data to resources (tasks, bookmarks, etc.). This document will use the phrase "Eclipse marker" to describe the latter.
• Markee: the person who's documents are being marked by the marker using the Gild Marker View.
