Cutting/Copying Text

Cutting, copying and pasting text is an easy way to save time from having to retype code. Follow the following st

  1. In the Gild Editor, select the text that you would like to cut or copy. This is accomplished by clicking and dragging the mouse over the text that you would like to select, or by holding the "shift" key while using the arrow keys to navigate through the text.
  2. Right-click in the Gild Editor.
  3. In the pop-up menu, select "Cut" to cut the text. Select "Copy" to copy the text.

Alternatively, you can use shortcut keys:

  1. In the Gild Editor, select the text that you would like to cut or copy.
  2. Press "Ctrl+X" to cut; "Ctrl+C" to copy.

Pasting Text

After you have cut or copied some text, you can paste that text somewhere else. To paste text, follow these steps:

  1. In the Gild Editor, position the cursor to the desired position of the text that you will paste. This can be done by clicking the mouse on the desired position in a text file, or by navigating through the text file using the arrow keys.
  2. Right-click in the Gild Editor.
  3. In the pop-up menu, select "Paste" to past the text.

Steps (2) and (3) can also be accomplished using the shortcut, "Ctrl+V".
